"hey there, beautiful." sammy said, giving the waitress a little flirty grin. he sure did loved the woman in their work uniform. folding both arms and leaning them against the table, looking up at the cute waitress he's secretly trying to get with. sam has been known for flirting and trying to sleep with the girls; a little player. at least that's what everyone says about him and they might be right about him, but he's willing to change and show her his true self if she's willing to give him a chance. he likes a little challenge and will not give up until he gets what he wants; he's one stubborn kid. he's always been ever since he was little. closing the menu, giving the book to the girl and told her what he wanted. "i'll have a cheeseburger with extra pickles, an order of fries, a medium size coke and... the boy said, taking a short pause. "when is your shift over?"

kick me down again. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 350px; background-color:#af9ea8; padding:0px;] today was the slowest day ever. taryn was pretty much just sitting around and playing on her iphone, and when the occasional customer came in she'd serve them, but after that, it was right back to talking with the other two girls she worked with this shift and playing angry birds. but it was different when a certain blonde walked into the diner. taryn sat up a little straighter, watching him as he walked toward the back and pressing her lips together. she looked over at the two girls, who were eyeing her right back, and shrugged a bit. "whatever, i got it." she sighed and pushed off of the stool, opening her note pad and walking to the back, where of course he was sitting. waiting, maybe. she ran a hand through her hair, standing with her arms crossed. "what can i get you?" she asked softly, and then couldn't help but blush at his next words. "hey there, beautiful." taryn looked away and regained her composure, watching his smile get a little bigger. she raised her eyebrows, patting her pen on her note pad. she nodded a few times as he told her his order, placing the menu underneath her right arm. and then came the question of the day. "when is your shift over?" taryn watched sam with soft eyes, licking her lips and looking toward the clock. 2:47. she sighed a little bit. "i can leave whenever. it hasn't been very busy today. why?" taryn smiled a little bit, watching him. it was no lie that sam was good looking - but from all the things that she had heard about him, she had no clue what to do about anything she was starting to feel toward him. she wasn't about to let him get away though - he just couldn't find out and that she had a little bit of a crush on him.

"well, i was thinking if you would to go to the carnival with me." the boy asked in a confidence tone. he normally doesn't do this type of thing where he asks a girl out, but figure to why not take a risk. the bad thing that could happen from this is if she rejects his little offer which he doubt that's going to happen. right? "i mean, if you want to. if you're not into that sort of stuff, then we could do something else. i don't know what, but i'm sure we could figure something out." sam asked with a shrug. he didn't really care what they do as long as he spends time with her; have some one-on-one interaction with just the two of them alone and talk about anything. he didn't want to rush whatever they had or if they even had anything to begin with. sure they're friends as least that's what sam thinks right? actually, he didn't know where they stand, but that doesn't seem to bother him. well, actually it does bother him because he truly cares about her; even though he has a hard time showing it. he's not very good at expressing his feelings toward someone, so he sleeps around instead. he's afraid of being in a committed relationship and saying those three words, eight letters because he was once in love before. that's until he found out that his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend after he left vancouver. that's why he's the person he is right now. he's sleeping around and shuts down his emotions because he doesn't want to go through another heartache again. but that all changed once he met taryn at the same diner that he's currently in right now. darn, her beautiful blue eyes and her cute smile. she was definitely very attractive and that's something sam cannot deny. "so, what's it gonna be... do you wanna go to the carnival or stay here and continue working?"

kick me down again. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 350px; background-color:#af9ea8; padding:0px;] taryn wasn't even sure what to say when that first sentence left his mouth. "well, i was thinking if you would to go to the carnival with me." she stayed still, watching him, seeing if he was serious. but the blonde for sure was. she stayed quiet, pressing her lips together, just thinking. apparently she was thinking a little bit too long, because sam added on to his first question - "i mean, if you want to. if you're not into that sort of stuff, then we could do something else. i don't know what, but i'm sure we could figure something out." taryn sighed softly, and glanced back toward the girls, still not answering. "i'm thinking," she told him softly, closing her eyes. she didn't know. she like him, that was definitely true but... he was a huge player. how was she supposed to trust him? finally, she had apparently had enough time to think, or so sam had decided. "so, what's it gonna be... do you wanna go to the carnival or stay here and continue working?" taryn finally shrugged a bit, and let herself answer. life was about taking risks, right? "sure. yeah. i'll go to the carnival with you. but you've gotta buy me cotton candy." taryn smirked a little bit, and then set her note pad down. "so are you gonna get your food to go, or not get it, or what?" taryn ran a hand through her hair, looking back toward the girls and giving a bright smile, and then turning back over to sam.

"all right fine. i'll buy you cotton candy. as long as you're willing to share some with me." sammy laughed with a teasing voice. sliding out from his seat as the blonde boy let out a small sigh, gently biting his lower lip. he wasn't really that hungry today. he just needed an excuse for taryn to walk over toward the table he was sitting. it look like it worked like he hoped it would. "nah, i'm not gonna get it." he said, shaking his head. "i just needed an excuse for you to walk over here, so i could properly ask you out and it looks like it worked." giving her a little flirty smile, standing couple feet away from her. after sharing a little moment of stare, sam walked past taryn and made his way over toward the exit. looking back at the girl to see if she was coming or not. "so, are you coming or not?"
